About Brighter Steps
Brighter Steps was founded in 2013 with a simple mission: to provide children with a safe, loving, high-quality learning environment where they feel seen, supported, and ready to grow.
What began as one family child care program has grown into five locations serving children and families in Kearns, Magna, and Taylorsville. As we have grown, our mission has stayed the same. Every child deserves care that honors who they are, supports their development, and prepares them for success in school and in life.
At Brighter Steps, we offer more than child care. We provide early learning, dual language experiences, school-age programs, before and after school care, summer camp, and a strong sense of community for families.
Our program is built on relationships, culture, inclusion, and quality. We believe children learn best when they feel safe, loved, and connected. Through intentional teaching, small group care, hands-on learning, and English and Spanish language exposure, we help children build confidence, independence, and a strong foundation for the future.
Brighter Steps is proud to be a high-quality rated program recognized by the Utah Office of Child Care. We are also proud to serve a diverse community of children, families, and educators. Every child is welcome here.
Meet Christina Robles
My name is Christina Robles, and I am the owner and founder of Brighter Steps. I am a mother, grandmother, early childhood educator, child care advocate, and community leader.
I started Brighter Steps because I believed families deserved access to child care that felt personal, nurturing, educational, and culturally connected. Over the years, that vision has grown into a larger mission to support children, families, child care providers, and the future of early childhood education in Utah.
I have spent years working directly with children and families, building high-quality programs, mentoring educators, and advocating for a stronger child care system. My work is rooted in the belief that child care is essential. It supports children, strengthens families, and keeps communities moving forward.
At Brighter Steps, every step matters. Every child matters. Every family matters.

I am the proud mother of Isaiah (27), Tristan (20), Liliana (14), and Zion (7), and the proud grandmother of two beautiful grandchildren. My children and grandchildren are my greatest joy and my inspiration every day.
They are my reason for everything I do. I strive to be the kind of mother and grandmother they can look up to, and they are the driving force behind Brighter Steps. Every decision I make is guided by the hope of creating a brighter future not only for my own family, but for every child and family we have the privilege of serving.
